Dead Bones Society “TWEEOOORTT” the gargantuan parrot chirped.  This was the dreaded Mateysaurus.  A fiendish creature of shiny objects, feathers and sunflower seeds owned by Bathurst’s very own unforgettable Mr Ellis!

“Mr Ellis” started the reporter

“As the rich and famous owner of the Mateysaurus, you must have some favourite past times.  Tell us about those.”

“Well” Mr Ellis began, “I like to feed my Mateysaurus raw meat.  She prefers whole cows and sheep for dessert.  I also like watching James Bond, Star Wars an My Little unicorn movies in my home theatre”.

“Those are sure some interesting pastimes Mr Ellis.  We appreciate the interview.  Bye!”

“Bye Mr pain in the neck, stuck up report …..”

Mr Ellis’ last word was cut short by  a deafening ROAR then CRACK! The wall of Mr Ellis’ 4 hectare mansion was destroyed and Matey was headed to Sydney.

The next day Matey was tired.  He lay down by a tree and destroyed it.  Then, the farmer that owned the tree came up and said “Chocker buddy, look mate, this is my 200 year old tree.  I’m just out of Sydney and under a threat of subdividing. The last thing I need is you destroying the trees mate.”

The sound of that name, Sydney, got him up on his feet again and headed towards th town, after resting through that farmer’s long winded, very boring speech.

It was 8’oclock.  The city was in terror.  The birdasaur just destroyed the Opera house, and had done a giant white thing on the Botanical Gardens and was suspiciously eyeing the Harbour Bridge, thinking how on earth he was going to do this without drowning.  He then picked up a giant white tree in his beak and smashed the bridge in two.  Me:1 City:0 he said as he headed towards the airport.  Matey stepped on the airport and caused an absolute outrage..  A man called after him “Oi! Ya ‘a terrorist or sumpin’? I’m gonna ring up and complain!”

This bird caused mass terror in the city.  The Australian Museum, the Conservatorium, all gone.  One day he was rampaging through the Northern beaches and through a window he saw a family gathered around the TV. And on TV the news was on, and on the news Mr Ellis was making a heartfelt request for his bird back and it touched Matey’s heart.  The gargantuan bird-monster-dinosaur walked home, into the sunset and towards his owner and Bathurst.
