Once on a deserted island a lonely Komodo dragon called Nigel was walking along the beach all by himself the last of his kind. When all of a sudden an oil drum filled to the top with radioactive waste was washed into shore and spilt all over Nigel.

Within a few seconds, Nigel started to feel strange. His head began to swim and he fell to the ground – unconscious. Later when he woke up he felt strange he looked up and saw the blue sky. He stood up and WOW! He was bigger than a tree and could see for miles.

For a minute he walked around the island, wondering what had happened. He walked into the sea and the animals swam away in terror. Nigel headed back to the island when suddenly the island shook. The long extinct volcano suddenly erupted and lava was spewing from the volcano. Nigel could see it was heading to him home where all his other dinosaurs’ friends and relatives lived.

He had to save them. He ran to valley and was there in a few steps. Without thinking, Nigel grabbed a huge chunk of mountain and placed it between the lava and the valley. His family and friends were saved.

Nigel was now a hero and he was worshipped. The barrel of toxic waste was not a disaster after all – it has saved the valley and Nigel was the most popular dinosaur ever.
